Care at Glenmuir House is always resident led, catering not just for residents’ needs, but also helping to support their hopes, aspirations and personal standards. Residents at Glenmuir generally prefer to spend time alone in their rooms surrounded by their personal belongings. We facilitate home comforts such as Sky TV, landline, a daily paper and friendly staff teams who sit and chat with them, should residents so wish. Family are welcome to visit at any time and are always made to feel welcome with tea and cake.
Glenmuir House is a large detached house decorated and furnished to a high standard with plenty of charm and beautiful period features. It provides spacious communal areas, comfortable living space and 18 individually styled bedrooms. Communal space at the home includes a beautiful lounge, leading onto the patio and front gardens.
New to Glenmuir House is the relaxing conservatory where residents can enjoy views of the garden and flower beds from the warm and comfort of indoors. All communal areas of the house and garden are accessible either via the passenger lift or gentle ramps. The bedrooms have en-suite toilet and washing facilities – there are also additional bathrooms on every floor. The 2nd floor rooms boast fabulous views over St Leonards and beyond to the sea and South Downs. All bedrooms have a 24 hour call bell installed for added peace of mind.
Staff have undergone enhanced training to support all our higher dependant residents, this includes peg feeding and insulin management. Our home works closely with local hospice teams along with district nurses to fulfil all our residents requirements.
