Abbey House, Bexhill
Abbey House is registered as a Residential Care Home for 23 elderly people over the age of 65.
Abbey House is a warm, friendly and comfortable residence conveniently located by shops and amenities in Bexhill town centre. The surrounding area has long been a favoured location for retirement and this is reflected by local shops, tea rooms, and a delightfully settled pace of life.
Our staff members use their sense of camaraderie and understanding to welcome and build relationships by delivering excellent levels of personal care that focus on each resident as an individual.
Abbey House has been specifically converted to form a large detached house, providing spacious communal areas and comfortable living space. It is a period property with plenty of character and charm. Communal space at the home includes our large lounge, leading onto the dining room and private garden. The garden is lovely in summer and a popular area in which to relax. All communal areas of the house and garden are accessible either via the passenger lift or gentle ramps.
The home is decorated and furnished to a high standard and residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture if they so wish. Most bedrooms have ensuite toilet and washing facilities – we also have two assisted bathrooms and one shower room.
Arden House, Bexhill
Arden House is registered as a Residential Care Home for 35 elderly people over the age of 65.
Arden House is located in a charming residential area in the heart of Bexhill-on-Sea. The building is a grand detached house providing elegant accommodation for up to 35 elderly residents.
Just a stone’s throw away from the promenade, shops and local amenities, it is also situated within walking distance of Bexhill train station and the famous De La Warr Pavilion.
Accommodation is of generous proportions, with some rooms benefitting from their own private conservatories. Many rooms towards the south-side of the house have sea views or look onto and over the bowling green. All rooms are ensuite, some equipped with a full bathroom or shower room.
Arden House is a non-smoking environment, though we are able to accommodate residents who smoke in ground floor rooms with their own access to the terrace. The home is spread out over four floors, all of which are service by a passenger lift. At the side of the building there is level access to both the house and garden, rendering the home fully accessible to wheelchair users. Guests and visitors are welcomed at any reasonable hour with refreshments available.
Glenmuir House, St Leonards-on-Sea
Glenmuir House is registered as a residential care home for 20 elderly residents over the age of 65.
Glenmuir house is located just a mile from the seafront in the charming residential area of St. Leonards-on-Sea.
The building is a beautiful Victorian house, standing in delightfully secluded grounds.
Furnished and decorated to a high standard, Glenmuir House provides a quiet and relaxed atmosphere with excellent personal care.
Glenmuir House is a stylish building with bold character and charm. There are original Victorian features throughout this non-smoking environment. Although the architecture of the building is to a grand scale, it was originally built to serve as a family home and has retained much of this warm, hospitable atmosphere. We have a beautiful lounge which leads onto the patio and front garden grounds. Our dining room overlooks the kitchen garden with its raised vegetable beds. All areas of the house and gardens are accessible via the passenger lift or gentle ramps.
